Us vs. Them

  1. Our equipment is better. Compare maximum flow rates (Clack’s is 27gpm), compare length and history of brand (Clack started in 1944), compare ease and cost of servicing (Clack is very affordable and needs very little servicing). If other companies have such a great brand, then why are they forcing you to do annual maintenance? A great brand should not need annual maintenance. Clack also has a 2-week battery back-up, keeps a long and detailed history of system function, and is “metered” to conserve water.
  2. Our prices are better. Why don’t other companies show prices online? Or, why don’t they say their price over the phone? It’s because its too high…so they have to get into your home and “build that value.” They have to give you a presentation. They have to scare you into thinking your water is deadly horrible! They have to talk to you AND your spouse. They pressure and haggle with you. They use old school, Zig Ziglar sales tactics.
  3. Our equipment is NOT proprietary. Unfortunately, most companies around here are proprietary. Proprietary means only they can service their equipment, only they know how it truly works, so whatever they want to charge you, you must pay – you are TRULY at their mercy. Clack is a huge brand out of Wisconsin and can be easily serviced by other professional technicians. (Although we’d hope you come to us for future servicing needs!)
  4. Our company is veteran and family owned, now on our 3rd generation! We have a smaller team, meaning each person is cross-trained in multiple roles and we function at a much higher rate than the average water softener company. Accountability is much better with a leaner company.
  5. Our company started in Austin and will stay in Austin. A lot of water softener companies in the area are based in Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio. They get your money and go back home. If you have a problem, will they be there ASAP? We are right here in Austin, ready to serve your water needs at a moments notice.
  6. Our team members all hold their respective licenses (Class III) and our company is insured through the State of Texas. (proof available upon request.)

More Expensive Does Not Equal Better

“…It was during this era that some sources assert that the “Chivas Regal effect” was born. As Thrillist explains, the company doubled the cost of its Scotch, which resulted in a considerable increase in sales and popularity. However, more importantly, the whisky itself remained exactly the same — it was simply perceived as “better” because of the price increase.” -Vinepair.com
